What is coming up and what can you be doing?

As you know, we have been working on a mini unit focussing on provincial exam preparation. I thought you might like to have a sense of the timing as well as the assessment that will occur. 

• Feb. 19/22 Stand alone text response (home work weight) Comparison paper format review
• Feb. 23/24 Terminology practice in class activity (return stand alone homework)
• Feb. 25/26 Terminology Quiz. (matching) /Synthesis practice (Rubric review) 
• F.29/M.     Synthesis practice (Quizzes back)
• Mar. 2/3     Discuss/practice Original composition essay / look at rubric

We will test your synthesis skills for the provincial exam as  well as your original composition skills in the spring. However, Ms. Liang, in her work with you will provide opportunity for you to employ the use of synthesis writing.

What can you be doing in light of Ms.S not assigning homework?

• Reviewing the Provincial practice exams web site and practicing sections. 
• Reading The Power of One novel.
• Applying for scholarships
• Writing application essays
• Exercising/resting
