Power of One notes: Myth

Mystique – A complex of transcendental or somewhat mystical beliefs and attitudes developing around something. (as an idea)

Myth-  A traditional story of ostensibly historical events that serves to unfold part of the world view of a people or to explain a practice, or natural phenomenon.

Mythicize ­  To turn into or envelop in myth

Mythmaker -  A creator of myths or of mythical situations or lore

Mythologize -  To explain the mythological significance of something to build a myth around it.
