In order to optimize class time while allowing many of you to properly prepare for your AP exams, we are going to run class with a series of in-class assignments. Some of these, like the 'Laces' assignment will happen as a team, but most of the work will be independent and self-paced. This is to allow for necessary absences due to exams.
Here is a rough break down of how I see the days going:
April 26: (all here)
- Finish and submit 'Laces' in pairs
- Lay out the independent lessons/links/handouts/requirements
- Begin '5 Approaches'(Due by May 16) Review Verbs sheet as a reminder.
- Notes on Poetry/practice sheet/lesson
- 3 Poems Assignment (Due by May 16) To be completed entirely in class.
- Other than the online tutorial videos I've linked up for you, you may NOT USE THE INTERNET.
- (Chem. am May 1)
May 2: (/Ph1 tmr)
- Do one hour or one assignment.
- Study for AP
MAY 4 : (Big one at 2:00)
- Complete class work. Remember, you may not take work home, nor may you use the internet for your work.
- H block we will only have time for attendance.
May 8: (Bi am/Calc. tmr) .
- Do one hour or one assignment.
- Study for AP
May 10: work period
May 12: (Geo. am)
- Complete class work. Remember, you may not take work home, nor may you use the internet for your work.
- All in class assignments will be submitted by the end of next block.
May 16: (All here)
- Poetic device recognition quiz
- All work now due:
- '5 Approaches' (5 things)
- 3 poetic analyses (3 things)
I hope this makes sense. Please come with your questions/suggestions. Note I will be here for tutorials and questions each class. Please also note, that you will be required to leave all of your work in the class. There will be no homework until after May 14. I hope this is helpful to you as you prepare for your exams.
