Important TERM 3 DATES to note

Hello Grade 12s.

Congratulations to those of you who have begun to receive acceptance from the universities of your choice! For those of you who are still waiting, do not begin to lose faith; this is the natural process.

I thought it would be helpful to you to see what you have in terms of commitments in this class in the nearer future, so what follows are some deadlines and important dates to get into your calendars.

• April 4:  Verbal Visual  assignment given and explained (due April 22)
• April 16: Chapters 10/11 questions due
• April 22 Verbal Visual assignment due.
• April 22 We will head to the library for an important research methods lesson. (Please take detailed notes)
• April 24: Research project assigned and explained; Film designed to inspire your research (not to be missed!)
• April 30: Research period. Bring own devices if you can/others will be provided.
• May 2: Research topics Declared/Due
• May 12: Paper draft due
• May 16: Research papers/presentation due

There is, as you see, plenty coming up but much of it is creative exploration and you have a good degree of autonomy as to the nature of the work. I do hope that serves to inspire/galvanize you.

We will head into looking at poetry and provincial exam preparation following the above events.

• YOUR PROVINCIAL EXAM WORTH 40% OF THE YEAR'S GRADE IS ON JUNE 20th, 9:00 - 11:00 AM.
