'Chicken Hips'

1. This essay is mainly a contrast of ideals of beauty in Gambia and Canada. Point out at least 2 other things which the essay compares.
2. What classic technique of organization does Pigott use in her opening and closing?
3. The Gambian women name the author Chicken Hips  because of her relative thinness. Create 3 other metaphors they could have used to say the same thing.
4. Where do sense images help us to most strongly 'see' the author's point?
5. Who is Pigott's audience and how do we know? Provide at least 2 reasons for your view.
